Wood Group Kenny
Wood Group Kenny is the world’s largest solution-independent provider of engineering and management services for subsea systems, onshore and offshore pipelines, and associated marine facilities. Through its subsidiary businesses, the organisation has thirty years track record in the industry, with 1,700 people in twenty offices around the world. The major office locations include London, Houston, Aberdeen, Perth (Australia), Stavanger, Rio de Janeiro, Paris, Kuala Lumpur, Jakarta, Abu Dhabi, New Delhi, Moscow, Glasgow, Portland (US), Beijing and Vancouver.
MCS Kenny is a subsidiary business of Wood Group Kenny, and our position within Wood Group Kenny is shown in the organisation chart below. We are a centre of excellence for Riser Engineering within Wood Group Kenny. We also perform advanced engineering analysis for subsea facilities and we have the responsibility within Wood Group Kenny for managing and developing the technology programme across Wood Group Kenny businesses on an ongoing basis.

In our areas of expertise, we pursue business in our own right with our clients across the world. In addition to this, we will participate seamlessly in Wood Group Kenny project teams to provide our expertise as part of a wider delivery capability to a client. This ability to work either on our own or together with our sister companies provides us with a differentiated capability in the marketplace. In this way, we can be very flexible in how we provide our services both for small specialist studies or as an integral part of large project teams for FEED and Detail Design work.
As indicated in the organisation chart above, for new subsea developments we work closely with J P Kenny and MSi Kenny. The three Kenny companies provide a comprehensive service for the design and project management of subsea developments. J P Kenny are world leaders in the design and project management of subsea facilities and pipelines. MSi Kenny are world experts in subsea flow assurance and process optimisation.
Wood Group Integrity Management (WGIM) are specialists in Materials Engineering and Integrity Management. Their focus is on assessing the ongoing integrity of facilities in operation, and they apply their capabilities across all facilities including subsea, topsides and plant integrity management. We work closely with WGIM in providing specialist flexible pipe expertise and riser engineering analysis to support integrity assessments provided by them to their clients.
In addition to its long track record of over thirty years in the oil and gas industry, Wood Group Kenny has an experienced and rapidly growing business in Renewable Energy. This is shown in the organisation chart with the two businesses J P Kenny Renewables and SgurrEnergy.
