Gunnison |
Verification of the single
casing TTRs for KMG’s Gunnison
Spar in the Gulf of Mexico. The work
included extensive verification of the TTRs including
design basis, strength, fatigue, VIV, interference, review. |
| Total |
Matterhorn |
Verification and engineering
support in the design of the single casing TTRs for
Total’s Matterhorn TLP in the Gulf of Mexico. The work
included extensive verification of the TTRs including
design basis, strength, fatigue, VIV, interference, review of client
and vendor proposals and review of component specifications and drawings
for TFE. |

Horn Mountain Project |
Design verification of the Horn Mountain truss Spar top tensioned
production risers, located in 5,400ft of water. MCS Kenny developed
a riser tensioning modelling strategy which included coupled analysis of the
multi tube riser system. This determined relative elongations
and load sharing between the tubing, inner and outer riser casings. This
resulted in the calculation of the required pre-stretch of the inner casing
to avoid compression under extreme load conditions.MCS Kenny also developed the TTR installation
procedures and wrote the TTR installation manual. Included
within this was installation step analysis which calculated the riser loads
and relative elongations at each stage of the riser installation process. MCS Kenny
was also tasked with the calculation of pup joint lengths above and below
the keel joint for each of the 10 production risers in order to obtain
target dry tree and keel joint locations given the spread of subsea wellhead
elevation and locations. |

Devils Tower Project |
MCS Kenny provided structural design verification
of the Devils Tower Dry Tree top-tensioned risers located in a water depth
of 5600 ft. The TTR system ties 6 existing
wells and 2 future wells to the truss spar platform using single casing
risers, supported by air cans. Scope included Design
Basis and Methodology review, strength, fatigue verification, review of
casing T&C fatigue testing procedure and witnessing of connector fatigue
testing. |
