MCS Kenny were contracted to provide comprehensive design review of all components
on the load patch of the GSF DDII clip connector riser from wellhead connector
to the tensioning system. Part of this details review included the following
analysis scopes: operability analysis, soft and hard hang-off analysis,
VIV fatigue assessment, wave/vessel motion fatigue analysis, drift-off analysis,
dual operation assessment, riser/string contact wear assessment and weak
point assessment. MCS Kenny also managed a comprehensive testing program for the
riser welds, connector and seals. This included specifying the test program,
selection of testing facilities, supervision of testing and interpretation
of results. |
